You can also go to this site too that sell the supplies for make your own. https://www.vandykestaxidermy.com/Default.aspx I have got my from there years ago to make fake water for a black racer I done for myself years ago. All it really is that the mix for fiberglass with out the fiberglass that you use for fiberglass repair. but make sure you are outside mainly because of the smell and vapors.

I used to have a small mount in my showroom that was a Hungarian Partridge on a snow scene without a cover. I put a sign on it that basically said "this is what your snow scene will soon look like without a protective glass cover". I had folks want me to do winter bases but not want to pay for the glass case to protect it. The Hun looked good....the dusty base, not so much. There were several types of artificial snow on the market. The kind I used most was basically just ground up white Styrofoam. The water and ice was made with clear polyester resins.

Ya gotta glue it to the base. Start out with Elmer's on it, sprinkle the stuff on. If that wasn't thick enough I'd spray on some spray-glue, sprinkle on more snow, repeat until as deep as you need.

Thanks for the tips...I was wondering about how the snow would look if dust was to collect on it..its to big of a scene to put a cover on it and just wouldn't look right...guess I may reconsider the snow...thanks all
