I know I had seen somewhere in these pages a pattern for stackable 220 boxes. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong in the archives, but have never found what I’m looking for in there !
Can someone point me in the right direction?

just make the front big enough for the trap and the back smaller the same as a bucket is tapered and adjust to what ever trap you want.

UNIVERSAL CONIBEAR TRAP BOX(Stackable)

This rotating jaw trap box will accommodate a 120, 160 or 220 size trap:
Why a trap box that will accommodate different size traps? One box can be used for trapping various size animals from mink/marten to fisher, coon and possibly bobcat. Also where trapping for marten, and fisher can be expected, the larger front opening is likely more inviting for a large fisher to enter.
The box length is 14 inches and the sides are made with 5/8 or 3/4 inch material. The front opening is +/- 9 1/2 inch square and the back about 5 inches square. Two finishing nails are used up through the bottom at the back to impale the bait on. The spring slots are 8 1/2 inches deep and 1 inch wide. The design/dimensions work out to a perfect distance for a 120,160 or 220 to be placed from the bait to provide a good neck and suitcase strike virtually every time when using the appropriate trap for the species targeted. I made them to accommodate a 220 just to save on boxes. Depending on the target animal you just use the appropriate size trap and another size box is not required.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

That’s awesome tomcat , just what I was looking for !
Have you ever set a 220 and a 120 both in there ? I only ask because I caught a big coon last year and had another one come in behind and steal my bait can, lol !

Would I be right in thinking the first trap ( the 220 ) would not fire the second trap ?

That is a great design!

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
