Yep..I was wonder what brand of weed wacker do you use?..I have an old one that's just about to give out..I believe that it is an "Echo"..It uses the orange line for the spool and is a 2 stroke. So what make and model do you have that has taken a lot of use?. What would you recommend for the long haul?

A Black & Decker rechargeable is great for light home yard use.

I've had a Stihl for years and like it very much. Run it dry when I put it away for the winter. Fill it with fresh gas in the spring. Pull the rope and it starts.

Another vote for Redmax. I won one 10 years ago, runs as good today as the day I brought it home.

Yep..The light home use is not really an option for me..In the growing season I swear the weeds can grow an inch a day so I'm cutting of 4-5 inches every 5-7 days

Stihl with a straight shaft. Your option on heads is greater.

Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.

Mine has been used on 3 half acre lots for the last 8 years every week and now is handling 4.5 acres we just bought this summer. Not light house work, but not commercial use either.

I bought a Husqvarna 4 stroke a few years ago and love it. No messing with oil/gas mix, plenty of power, pretty quiet, starts easy, string feeder actually works. I now use only 100% gas but when I used ethanol running it dry at the end of season was the ticket.
