Dang, one of the best guys I ever met along the way in trapping, always picked at him holding that red head wife of his hostage from Alabama since that is where she is from. Very very sorry to hear this news, prayers for him as well as the family during this difficult time.

Dang, hate to hear this. Very nice man to talk with and at one time built what I consider the best beaver foothold out there. God Speed Carl. Yes, the CDR 7.5 had been my mainstay for a beaver foothold ever since they came out. Actually I used them before they came out. Carl gave me some prototypes to test. He was quite the innovator. He also made the Terminator Triggers, which are stainless steel body grip triggers. Once I installed these, I never had to replace them again. He also wrote two books - https://www.fntpost.com/Categories/Trapp...or)/Carl+Jones/Thanks to you Carl for all the contributions you've made to trappers. We're going to miss you.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to Carl's family. He was a wonderful man who always took time to visit with me at the conventions. He was the "C" in the CDR trap and I am proud to have known him and call him a friend. We have lost a good one, for sure. I would hope that someone can post a pic of Carl here at some point. I have a feeling he and Charlie are up there smiling & catching up.
Respectfully,
The Joe Goodman family
