I was thinking about painting some of my coyote traps this year but I am not sure if its a bad idea. I have seen a lot of different opinions on this, is there anyone here that has good luck painting traps vs dyeing and waxing them?

I would dye them before ever painting them, and would rather do neither. I only dye traps to slow down the rust if needed. otherwise I just clean and wax.

I have been painting my coyote trap for the past couple years and it seems to work out fine. Get them good and clean and spray away. Paint after every catch. They will shine them up good for you. This just what I do. I have dyed them in the past also.

I'd dip instead of paint. Something like Dakota Line's dip.
