http://www.badgerlandtrappingsupply.com/store/p3/FLOOR_MOUNTED_FLESHING_BEAM_MOUNT.html I bought one of their wall mount systems. I have it set up and think it will work out good.

Rendezvous that's a sweet set up you have. Is that a production model or one you made?
I did make it, I like making stuff and it adds a lot to the trapping experience. A few more pics during construction... Base is probably way over engineered, but is really solid. Had to do a lot of configuration of the beam angle. I found a sharp knife drawn across the edges to round them worked well ans cuts down on the mess.

I have PVC beams like that and have not perfected the base for it. Looks like yours is a great idea. Im guessing it dont move a lot when you are using it ?

patrapper1183, 10" dia. PVC, hard to find or expensive to purchase but an awesome setup.
ilbucksndux, It has been rock solid.
BBarnes, I believe it is 55 degrees and at the length I went with the beam hits me just above my umbilical hernia.
As far as the beams, I don't use the 4"(mink) beam, easier to do mink right on the stretcher boards.

Rendezvous, I assume that you can get all of your boards out of one piece of 10” pipe, correct?
You can't cheat the mountain pilgrim. Mountain's got its own ways.

Rendezvous, I assume that you can get all of your boards out of one piece of 10” pipe, correct? Yes and with enough left over to do another mink beam, it is a little shorter though. I was thinking of making a bench type beam.

I built a small table and mounted beam FLAT. No need to bend over or reach up and pull down. FLAT mounted beam is easier on my back as I get older. This method can be used at a work bench. Easy to take down in the off season and store. slot for beam to fit in... two 'L' brackets to bottom of beam and side of table... Rock Solid... Off topic- I attached/offset two block of wood to the side of my beam table. A stretcher board holder. This makes for hands free pinning down fur...

I'm gonna steal that stretcher board holder idea, Hern. Very smart and helpful.

The concept is very interesting. I broke my back a couple times so this may be a good idea for me too.
I like the table with only 2 legs. Escaping from paradigms is good thinking.
Thanks for posting the photos.

Ditchdiver says- I'm gonna steal that stretcher board holder idea, Hern. LOL go ahead, I borrowed the idea from Rendezvous
Willy Firewood states- I like the table with only 2 legs. Escaping from paradigms is good thinking. Thank you. I got the idea from Randy Mohn, Bradford County, Pa. Randy's beam was setup on his work bench. Paradigms, yes. Two legged table anchored to wall plays a syntactic role for rock solid stability combined with tight fit slot and 'L' brackets, all mutually incorporated . WF, you are the first to notice, I've posted this picture for many years on this site.

I'm gonna steal that stretcher board holder idea, Hern. Very smart and helpful. I go Horizontal like "Hern" except I use a 4" hinge. Swing it up as needed and take it away after the fur is put up.
