If we use a 160 or 220, we have to cover the trap and hole according to regs. I made some sets with 155's this morning and had to do a lot of blocking. A 160 would be perfect and some a 220. So any ideas on what I could use to cover them up? I was thinking milk crates but they are hard to come by.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I wish, but it has to be something that no other critter can get into.

Cheapest fencing you can find that will keep anything bigger than a mouse from getting into the trap from outside the hole.

I use 5 gallon buckets with notch's cut for the springs. I also cut out most of the bottom and pop ribit 1/4" wire mess over the hole. Drill 2 5/8" holes opposite of the springs.(in the bottom)
Place bucket over trap aligning springs with notch's. Anchor through 5/8" holes with t-stakes and done.
Will try to remember to send you a pic when I get home

In a lot of situations they would be perfect, finding them is the hard part around here.

square kitty litter buckets. I use them as nose cones for comstocks, I cut holes in them to make them fit the situation. would think you could stick a coni in there instead. few examples of the yellow bucket set below. groundhogs do not mind them at all.

Great pics pass-thru. Here, if we use anything bigger than a 155 we have to cover it completely so no other critters can get in to it. That's a biggun in your trap!

A 126 is the same size as 155. I dug that out and set it up to make sure the lattice wasn't damaged. CTM 126 is my preferred bodygripper for ADC residential work.

I use a leg hold trap in the front of the hole. Stake so the chuck can't go down the hole. Works every time.

Gotcha pass-thru, it looked bigger in the pic. And glf, I use coils too. Yesterday I put coils in the escape holes.

Chicken wire over hole cover lite grass. Dog can't get in the trap and ground hog get caught coming out. Darcy Alkerton shared this trick to work around homes.

I would be very nervous setting conibears around homes, especially ones with dogs. I don't think my customers would let me do that, nor would I really want to. Why take that risk?
