Its not great but a little smear will last through a hurricane i believe. Will catch cats and k9s. They dont stick around long. Stick their nose right on it for a second or two and leave. Sometimes coyotes will pee on it.

I've used it in double hole flat set with other lures and had pretty good success. Don't think I have ever used it on its own before.

Works well at a compass set with 3 or 4 mouse holes and in a triple pebble set Yep it's one of the scents I use in some compass sets
Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

I've had a few Pm's as to WHAT is a Triple Pebble Set. I don't know whose book I got this from, but it was over 10 yrs ago, according to my notes. It is just a type of flat set using 3 lil rocks or acorns or whatever works, placed in a triangle, and is on site, to hold a flat object off the ground at least 1/4" to let the scent waft thru. It's mostly weather proof too Here is a sketch.

I just take a rebar trap stake and dive it in at the base of a clump of grass or whatever and bed a trap in front. sac oil is already weatherproof. don't even need a hole. just smear a little at the bottom of that grass clump.

One of the best rolling scents out there. That is why I throw all my oil sacs away. I've only been playing around with formulating and testing lure for over a year but my experience with ingredients that cause a rolling response in K-9s is that I find that as a positive response. First of all the reason they roll in it is because they like it and usually these ingredients are fairly strong smelling with a fairly enduring odor. When I find an ingredient or formulation that gets a rolling response I figure there's three ways to make it work, first I can add only a small amount of this product to formula (just enough to make it a secondary odor), use less of the lure at the set or finally put it down a hole. I'll admit I'm new at this and as I learn more I might change my line of thought on this with more experience but that's were I'm at now.

I'll take rolling any day! Guy just needs to figure out how to harness that energy! I agree G- bus all my attractors with sac oil or fish juice gets a flashy urine post within feet of it!
