I don't think I have ever seen a Pioneer body grip. Might be a dumb question, but how can you tell it is a Pioneer?

Interesting!...There are Pioneer collectors that try to get all the different models. I don't know how hard it is to find a 330 Pioneer but it must have some collector value.

I bought a bunch of traps a few months back and I am weeding through them, the one had the strongest springs I have ever seen on a 330, never been set, the other one is pretty strong also, welded straight link chain.

Scott: A friend of mine, Dave Watson(deceased) of Iron River, Wisconsin, who with his brother Jim were big time beaver men who took over 600 beaver through the ice annually for several consecutive winters while both worked full time jobs, felt strongly that the Pioneer was the best 330 sized trap of that era. In his honor I am going to attempt to get one of yours for myself.

My price guide does list Pioneer traps. After the coils and longs it just says "conibear style" = $5 to $10.
But in parentheses it states ($100 if sold in South Dakota).. grin grin grin
