Brian, America isn't heaven, but it's probably pretty close. But Bible does say to show hospitality to strangers, for anyone who has two coats to give one of them to whoever has none, the mark of a true Christian is to show hospitality to strangers, to not oppress a foreigner, that god loves the foreigner residing among us, to not mistreat foreigners and love them as ourselves, to leave some food for the poor and the foreigner, Ezekiel says that the sin of Sodom was that they did not help the poor and the needy, to love your neighbor (who is your neighbor? Jesus asks), I could probably go on.

So, wetdog, do you wish to employ the same tactics as the group I mentioned, or rise above that sort of behavior like a civilized human being? What do you propose ? I suppose you could wave a rainbow colored wand from a box of lucky charms. Would that work ? Blood shed needs no translator

Mike in a town, I don't intend to sponsor any of them. But if they have a legitimate claim for asylum and a sponsor we should let them in. If not we should send them back where they came from. That said, the stupid proposals to slaughter them makes me ashamed to be a member of this forum.

Ditto, Jarhead.
I think these armchair tough guys should be the ones to pull the trigger.
I thought these people were coming here en mass to apply for asylum. Is that against the law?

You can't shell these people. You can only do that to Irish immigrants that don't want to be drafted.

I think people should exercise common sense when quoting the bible.

Relax Francis, most of that is fantasy. Nobody is going to shoot a bunch of hobos. Language has consequences. The president is not one to emulate. Jim

We as a nation have been more than hospitable!
