I've got a funny feeling an example is about to be made!

Heard today that a promise was made that not one of these guys are going to Cross the border. What that means? I don't know!

Brian, America isn't heaven, but it's probably pretty close. But Bible does say to show hospitality to strangers, for anyone who has two coats to give one of them to whoever has none, the mark of a true Christian is to show hospitality to strangers, to not oppress a foreigner, that god loves the foreigner residing among us, to not mistreat foreigners and love them as ourselves, to leave some food for the poor and the foreigner, Ezekiel says that the sin of Sodom was that they did not help the poor and the needy, to love your neighbor (who is your neighbor? Jesus asks), I could probably go on.

In at least some of the passages I referred to, the original word used for stranger is the Hebrew word GER, which might be translated as a sojourner, a traveler, an alien.

What do you propose ?

I suppose you could wave a rainbow colored wand from a box of lucky charms. Would that work ?

Mike in a town,
I don't intend to sponsor any of them. But if they have a legitimate claim for asylum and a sponsor we should let them in. If not we should send them back where they came from. That said, the stupid proposals to slaughter them makes me ashamed to be a member of this forum.

Ditto, Jarhead.

I think these armchair tough guys should be the ones to pull the trigger.

I thought these people were coming here en mass to apply for asylum. Is that against the law?

You can't shell these people. You can only do that to Irish immigrants that don't want to be drafted.

what does the bible say to do for the foreigners that want to kill all Christians and destroy America? Give them 2 coats? I think people should exercise common sense when quoting the bible.

Yes

On an individual basis. Not our govt! There is a difference between individual and governmental responsibilities!

We as a nation have been more than hospitable!

Point is

God believes in borders and protecting His people. Translate that into govt!

Jesus Christ came to save us all. Individual

No

This whole extra biblical concept that somehow our govt should open its borders is a farce! Misguided and or misinterpreted bla bla bla
