Unless organic grain can be verified as such it goes in the regular bin. Some Ag businesses do care about their reputation and branding.

This is why I believe the organic grain buyers are complicit in the scam. I do not believe there is enough organic arces certified to produce the amount of organic food available to the market. I have seen the salting of gmo with organic to pass a test myself. Now, when that load is then put into a larger bin and the risk of losing that whole bin of grain bought at organic premium to be sold as gmo is too great. I do not believe they test too thoroughly, as it is not in their best interest either.

Organic lablkng has been corrupted by less than honest farmers round here. They plant x number of 'organic wheat', it gets about .5 bushels of wheat and 60 bushels of weed seed per acre. The farmer buys non krga ic wheat from the neighbor for a dollar or two above county prices and sells it as organic for above 12 dollars a bushel. Corn is a bit tougher to scam, as the Roundup shows up in testing, but they haul in a load of true organic for testing, then sprinkle a layer of organic on top of gmo loads and risk it. The price and profit make the risk worthwhile. It's a hush hush thing, but if you're a gmo farmer able to sell gmo corn or herbicided wheat, or non organic replacement dairy heifers to organic shysters it's best not to kill the golden goose. The rich suburban idiot women who pay more for organic get the placebo effect. Everyone wins. I call BS. I have been through the process and it would not be easily scammed. If caught you would then never be able to certify again. A GMO test takes place on every load and though out the load. The elevator can not risk one bad load contaminating the whole bin. You have to report your acres and yields, can not sell more than that. You could scam the system I suppose, but why? It is a highly profitable venture, why would you want to F it up? FF, your little OP-ED reminds me of something I would see on cnn, All BS and made up conjecture.

Also you can not "salt a load", one bad kernel in a sample will cause a fail. That is why cleanout procedures on combines and trucks is so important. Also locally sourced organic grains make up less than 20% of the grain fed in the US, the rest is imported from overseas.

Why would I pm you a name? The network here is up and running well. The organic guy gets his, the non-gmo guys get theirs. It would be ludicrous for me to put a stick in their gears. You can call me a B.S.r if you please.
I have seen 100% organic farmers go to a non organic farmers and buy both wheat and corn from his bins. Perhaps the organic guy was just buying it for his bird feeders. Un-named sources, Where have I heard this before? I personally sell my certified organic corn to the organic chicken farms and purchase conventional corn for my conventional beef feedlot. Its all about adding value to your product. If your friends feel the need to game the system, well they probly cheat at cards too. What I am getting at is there is no reason for a producer to cheat the system. you can only sell what your acres and yields allow. Yields approach conventional yields at three times the price with less $inputs. Why would you need to cheat?

There is distrust and dislike of the few and huge genetic companies that provide most of the genetics for the basic commodity crops worldwide and there is also many commenting on how they don't trust the organic growers or labels either. To me that must make life very miserable for those with that low of a trust level in human kind and the companies providing our goods and services. That creates an awful lot of isolation and moat building to protect one's self from the evil world that surrounds the non trusting individuals. That isolation and fear will only increase as the population continues to grow.

I'm no fan of Monsanto, I don't personally know the facts behind Roundup, probably not a good thing to get a lot of exposure to it though.
However, I do know that ridiculous lawsuits like the one mentioned are driving up the costs of everything. Monsanto and every other chemical company should pull their products out of California. There are more and more ads from law firms advertising on TV. If you used Johnson's Baby Powder, Round UP, a certain blood clot filter, etc, and suffered a hang nail or a bloody nose, you may be entitled to compensation. Call the number on your screen right away. Lines are open 24 hours.
If someone tears down the American flag and puts another flag in its place, that person should get a free, mandatory one way trip to that country.

And I couldn't enjoy watching the View yesterday because of like the worlds worst hang nail, it's a real owie. Do you have that number?

I didn't read all this post but will if it stays up.
An oncologist and team were questioning a patient trying to find a trigger for the illness. The man mentioned being accidentally over exposed to attrazine (spelling?) less than 6 months prior. The Doc quickly summonsed for more of his group to join the discussion.
A well to do lady asked if the patient would attend a "conference" in the big city and share this experience. He said sure if it may help others.
The lady then asked many questions leading to how, where, and a very demanding who?
The man explained the how, but absolutely refused to speak of the where or who, explaining it was an accident and the land owner and applicator had done nothing illegal or wrong. The team then seemed dejected and dispersed.
The patient was puzzled as to why the big fuss, then all of a sudden was never questioned on the matter again, for about five minutes or less.
If that was hard to read, well, it was hard to write too.
