My observation last 6 days of bowhunting, but with a grain of salt as I’m hunting state hunting lands..
Nov 8th I had several bucks cruising the swamp lands I was hunting..only one was what I’d consider mature and he came through at about 12:45ish through the cattails and never broke stride...at the point of cedars there are a few good scrapes and not one horned deer stop by to inspect..
Hunted 7 different setups along the edge or out into the swamp close to the edge, and movement slowed way down after the 8th...
Never put eyes on the mature buck again...Had 2 apple tree areas setup along the swamp that I hunted with good scrape activity nothing but a few young bucks and young does came in this weekend...
Not sure what the rut is doing or not doing but I’m done stomping through the wetlands...
The best part of my hunting was I did catch a glimps of a nice bobcat working the cedar edge just at dark.. I’ll focus on him...
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

That is a great buck! Was he rutting Ambush? I watched one this morning and it would of been the highest scoring buck to date. He just walked out of my life and over the next ridge following a doe. LOL
