That's sad news Yukon. The wife showed me a facebook post made today of a black bear walking across the river right in town.Way late for them to be running around especially in town.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Boco our weather has been warm and a few grizzly have been seen. I got a bit more information about an hour ago. Dont want to say to much yet but early reports are that it was a wife and child that were killed. I think I know who it was, and if I'm right, a lot of guys on here will have seen them on TV. Really sad deal.

Man, we still have no snow, here. Season for most furbearers opens Saturday. I will be setting up wolverine cubbies in the next couple of days, hoping to avoid problems. I have had bear issues before, and go out of my way to avoid them. Wolverine has been open since the 10'th, but too dicey.

Geez ..... that poor guy coming home off the 'line to find that ! Haunt you for life. My thoughts too. Im guessing they didnt have a dog around. My youngest and her husband have been out on their line since early Oct. They have an inreach so we can communicate and she told us tonight that they saw where a grizzly was following a moose today, so they are moving around.

If you click the Twitter feed in the link hutchy provided you get to see the disturbing face of humanity with the comments , all I can say is WOW I did and you're right, there's some truly heartless and ignorant people in this world. May I offer my sympathies to this poor soul in what has to be a dark time for him.

Thanks for posting this story and the link to the news article, Yukon. It's a sad reminder that none of us can let our guard down when we are afield.
It's tough being human.

Very sad event. We had a few out later this year too. Had one buddy getting his marten eaten by a grizzly until about third week of November.
