Bass 10 he grossed 190", by far my biggest buck. Yea turkey time I sure hope he spread his genes in that area real good. I've killed older deer but didn't have the genetics this guy had. Maybe in 5 years I can chase one of his sons around

Yea, bass I bought a place up there several years ago and loved the area of southern Ohio, great people and great hunting. It's a little pressured during shotgun in that area but where can you go that isn't. If the wife will agree to it after the kids are raised I'd like to spend about half my time there and half in my home state of Tenn. People are great in both places but the hunting is definitely better in Ohio. Lol

He has been spreading his genes most likely since he was 1.5 yr old. Lots of our young bucks get to breed here. On top of that those genes are already saturated in the herd from the other deer that carry the same genetics.

RM, From what I have seen in the area I think you are right at 4.

Thanks again everyone. Has anyone else had much success rattling that late in the season. It was only the second time in my 25 years of hunting that I tried it, I was always afraid of spooking deer off. But with the results I got I will definitely try again
