That, my friend, is undoubtedly the finest, most memory-evoking, big game mount I've ever seen. Many thanks for posting. Good on you, man!

That's really nice. It tells the story.
I did the same thing with a Trapper Nelson and some one and a half newhouses and some tanned skins.
I still have calcium deposit lumps on both collar bones from Trapper Nelsons, they weren't known for user-friendly shoulder straps.

I really like that mount. I have seen them before in pictures but have not seen one in real life. Is the cost of having one done like that as much or more then a conventional mount?

That is a great price. I have some good racks and a tanned mule deer hide I might have one done like that. Thank you for that information.

Even if someone didn't have an original Nelson Pack they can be constructed very easily.

Super unique mount. Love the idea. Seen similar ones with game birds on a lanyard, hanging but never on big game on a pack. Love it.

Had the pack but no backboard...so I made the backboard, was a fun little project..Steam bent the cross members, and use ammonia to darken the whiteoak...it's always changing display...have moose antlers I may use next and remove the pack..idk
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....
