I am not a state hopper rooting for a football team. 20 years ago you probably never heard of Alabama, you root for them because they were on top the past few years. I on the other hand root for my team in the lean years as well as the good years. Historically means nothing, Kentucky had a fine team this year, they were the better team when PSU played them this year. (posted by nittany)


Nittany we have discussed this. Because Ky doesn't have a NFL team are we not supposed to root for anyone in the NFL ?

Bama is a great team but so is Clemson. If I were betting it would be on bama, but I’m definitely cheering for Clemson. Go Tigers!!

You SEC fans must not be very confident Bama will win, no gloating, no bragging, you folks are way too quiet. Historically (like yote30 says) the ACC is not a football conference, but a basketball conference. Heck Bama from the mighty SEC should win this game by 40 points or so.

Suddenly I've become a Clemson fan, they are better than Hal's niece's.

Since Bear was an Arkansan and Bama is in the SEC, I'll pull for them. Won't get to watch the game anyway since I dropped cable/satellite. Guess I'll have to watch "The Bachelor" like JP.

FYI, Dabo Swinney learned his craft at Alabama as a walk on on Stallings national championship team. Hung around as an assistant before his career took off. Kind of like Coach Bryant.
