The keeping of the Buick division was the larger than US volume made and sold in CHINA!

A lot of our work on parts that were developed here went to CHINA to be copied/made.

I have been driving for 50 years or so and have only owned 1 car in my life.
Had a couple suv's I guess, a 68 Ford Bronco and a 72 Chevy Blazer, both with inline 6's and 3 on the tree, 4WD, high and low range.
Other than that it has been pickup trucks, 4WD and can not function without one.
The car I owned in college was a 1966 Rambler Classic 4 door seeedan.
Chick Magnet for sure in the fact it had a lever under the dash you could pull out for overdrive if you could ever get up to 60mph.
The Classic had a couple other redeeming qualities other than fuel consumption.
