I like coolbreeze and Posco's cats........jk I hope I like it when I get it back, he said sixteen months without batting an eye. I had to drive an hour and a half to get to his shop but I think it was well worth it. The work he had on display was fantastic. He's a busy guy but he took all of the time he needed to answer any and all of my questions. He gave me three sites to visit for taxidermy forms he can use. The right form along with some talent make or break the mount. I had a life size mount done on the last bear I took and wasn't all that pleased with the result after spending two grand to get it done. The taxidermist I took it to went ahead and did what he thought I would like without getting very much input from me. He didn't get my business on the bobcat.

What a great subject to tackle. Tough animal to "stuff".

I took my cat to this guy. I was thinking rug when I first showed up at his place but his life size work got me to thinking going life size. I think I'm back to going with a rug. This is the best cat I have ever seen mounted .. BAR NONE......... Head is spot on . The head makes or breaks a cat mount.

This is the best cat I have ever seen mounted .. BAR NONE......... Head is spot on . The head makes or breaks a cat mount. He wants $600 for a rug and $700 for a life size bobcat mount. He gathers his own driftwood for the bases and they look topnotch from the work I saw. He said people complained about his pricing being too high.

Beautiful mount! I guess I'd better go shoot a grouse.
I shot the grouse about a mile from where I trapped the cat. I bet he ate a few.

I have a quaint little logging road not far from my cabin that holds grouse and hare in quite an abundance. I've captured several pics of cats along that road. I think the amount of cat sign I've seen this year goes a long way toward explaining the drop in the local turkey population.

Posco for that level of work and at that price, no brainer.

If your taxidermist has done enough cats they should be able to tell you what pose will work & what won't. Might be a little modifications but my guy is good & can usually tell me which ones will work & what won't. Here's a pic of one of min, will take one of the other cat tomorrow. That taxidermist knows his stuff. Not many taxidermists can get the face right.
