Did you use cross country or down hill skis. Wonder where a guy could buy some old junker skis? maybe call a ski shop or facebook sale. I recently made something very similar just out of wood. I called a local ski shop and they said I could have an old pair for free. I little spray paint and they were good as new

I have welded a couple together that I made from metal conduit. Just have to smash the ends with a hammer to weld them to the side of another piece of pipe. Very inexpensive and light.

and you can cut aluminum with a chop saw! Cuts like wood. Spot on Gary... I prefer a 60-80 tooth blade, if you're cutting a lot of aluminum, I like to wax the blade to prevent build-up.
