Carl, I’m not offended by the word tard, but the people who would be probably won’t tell you. This isn’t a tough concept. You can feel good about yourself however you want, but don’t crybaby when someone calls you out on it. It’s not a matter of defending liberals. I could care less what you think of them or whether you use any other slur in the world. Cognitively impaired people or their families don’t need to see the word tard. Get it..... it’s not politically incorrect to use it it’s mean.

Decided to cut off the Presidents speech and aired "The Price is Right" instead! per Google News. Maybe they were afraid kids might be watching. Jim

Well, I'm offended by the word "tard," and I'll bet there are a few conservatards here who would agree with me.

Jim I agree, it is a very hurtful word to a fellow human being with intellectual disabilities. Have some compassion and be better people to each other.

Maybe this should be applied to news outlets??
New International Version: Ecclesiastes 10:2 The heart of the wise inclines to the right But the heart of the fool to the left
King James Version: Ecclesiastes 10:2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand But a fool’s heart is at his left That verse has nothing to do with politics. The whole liberal=left and conservative=right thing has only been around for a few years in the scheme of things. People in that time viewed all things wise as being right, and all things foolish as being left, having to do with the fact that most people are right handed. A wise man would use his strong hand to perform tasks, but a fool would use his left hand; that's the idea. It's important to read the Bible in context and not apply select verses to fit our own political means.

That's your interpretation goose I like Sshaffers much better It's not my interpretation. The use of the terms "left" and "right" to describe different sides of politics has only been around since the French Revolution. Solomon wasn't writing about politics when he wrote ecclesiates, he was writing about the meaning of life. Again, it's important to read the Bible in context.

Seems like a person needs to scrutinize any posting for wording that may be politically/socially unacceptable. Unless your a liberal classifying conservatives as ignorant, then it is OK. Mainstream/social media is loaded with examples of this double standard. I find it very confusing.
