Interesting question, but I'm afraid I don't have an answer on how the mink would see it. To the best of my knowledge, the only mammals that see in color like people are guinea pigs and tree shrews. Some animals can see other variations marginally but I believe it's more in the blue or yellow spectrum. I'm sorry I don't have anything more specific.

I'd be interested in hearing from you on how these work for you.

I think color Is more about hiding your traps from thieves then hiding them from your target animal.

Most of my coni's get set in grass trails the color of the cardboard under those traps. I thought about coloring the traps that color, but i dont want too much trouble finding them in the dark. I trap 90% on private land, so not too worried about theft. Most of my mink theft are from hawks and yotes.

Other than bright or shiny I don't believe color is as important as "coated" to prevent rust and speed closing.
