I have a 15 year old pair of Lacrosse Burly's. I'm going to try again to fix the crack that developed on the front of both boots just above where the double layer rubber stops. If I can't, I have already researched where lots of people aren't happy with Lacrosse any more.
I'm looking at a couple models of the Muck boots that are 17" tall (Burly's are 18").
How many people have experience with the Mucks and would like to give a yeah or nay? Thanks.

I've got two pair, the Wetland and the Artic Pro. I've owned a lot of different brands of rubber boots and would have to say Muck are the warmest and probably the most durable of the brands I've worn.

I have worn the same pair for about 10 years through just about any torture you could put a boot through. I love 'em. When these ever go I will buy another pair of Muck boots.

That's what I want to hear. The Artic Pros are one model I'm considering.

I have used the Woody Max and like them a lot. The arctic pros are warmer, but heavier and stiffer.

There was a time when they did not offer Mucks in wide widths. Think they do now.

I'm trying to find the Muck boot in "hip wader" size which I think is 32", correct? What are you using?

I had Woody Max and they were way to hot for our South Georgia winters. Unless the high was going to be in the 50’s my feet would get way too hot. Great boots though, had them for about 10 years before one of the crumb snatchers started wearing them pressure washing. Clorox and chemicals don’t work well with them. The bottoms finally fell off.

You can get these with muck wetlands and several other brands of boots.

I have worn out a couple of pair of Muck Woody Max and they are a decent boot but are more and more proud of them.

I just bought a pair of Dan's Frogger Boots that were $60 less than the Mucks and come highly recommended for lasting comfort by a friend that wears them pretty much daily doing ADC trapping. They are a little heavier than the Woody Max but are very comfortable.

I have had a pair for 3 years plus and they are shot. Mine are the chore Muck boots. I wore mine two seasons coon trapping and doing all the chores and 3 sap seasons so lots of miles. The neoprene sides wore out fast and started leaking about 4 inches above the ankles so I wore them where there was not much water. The side near the sole ruptured this winter. They are warm, comfortable, good support and don't slip or pull lose but not durable enough for the price in my opinion.

I was a much man for years then in the last 3 years the quality just isn't there. I did some checking and I am now with a boot that's called dry shod. They are owend by the original owner of the much Boots company.
Hear is a short story he sold out to a big company and he stayed on for a few years then was totally out of it and that's when they went to cheaper material and the quality went away. He then waided for the non compeat clause to run out and went back in business with the quality of the old much Boots with the original factory that produce them .
I will say one thing I will never buy a much ever again and my son plus 5 guys switched and we do like them. Look them up and check them out

Never owed any mucks but the Cabela O2 pair I bought for this year are holding up very well easy on/off no rips they have that lug on the back for getting them off, way better boot then Lacrosse and they have a real insert not that paper thin one Lacrosse went to!

I love LaCross Burly's. I have DAN'S tops on mine. I'v never got more the 4 years out of them. Because I were the rubber off the soles. They are the only boot. I'v ever worn out that way.

You will be happy with MUCK boots, for a -while-. They wear out FAST

Pros and Cons. Boggs Boots are lighter. Wear a muck boot all day and go home and put a Boggs pair on and you are liable to knee yourself in the mouth on the first step. I have frog legs on mine like posted above. They aren't waders but are great for cross streams, weed eatting, planting garden when its wet. Those Dry Shods posted above sound and look interesting though.
