Last night I got a recipe off the google and made home made baked beans for the first time ever. The beans are Swedish beans from some seed stock that came to my county in the apron of someones gggrandmother over 100 years ago, and I've been growing them for 20 years. And a venison hamburger with bacon on it. Notice that Thai chili pepper from last summer growing in the south window. It started making peppers again a month ago.

We went to town to eat.
Wish I'd ate in.
Looks good. Especially the pepper plant.

That 2 1/2 gallon ice cream pail In the pic is 2/3s full of sauerkraut I made in December, and every time I take a good helping out, I put a taller jar over the plate under that lid to hold the kraut down under the juices. I eat most of that right out of that container and freeze the rest in ziploks.

I've tried freezing kraut but it seems to lose some of its zest so I'm back to canning it. Venison chops fried in a bed of home made kraut is one of all time my favorite meals.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

We are having a very rare treat. Papa Murphy’s!! I went to town after parts and momma texted me and asked if I wanted to stop and get a couple. Heck ya! I love their pizza and we only get it a couple times a year. The boys and I are in hog heaven tonight

Lookin good Les! I really undershot the runway on my kraut put up this year, gave a bit away and may have to resort to store bought later in the year. Baked beans and kraut along with venison should make for a memorable experience.
Zim Yep, zero chance of your septic freezing!
I have nothing clever to put here.

Zim Yes, for the bystanders, lol. I cant say that I've ate them both in copious amounts together ever before, and no kraut today. I like two large pinches of raw kraut every day just because it's good for your innards in the raw, un processed state, enzymes and all that, you know.
