So as depression sinks in over the reality of the end of another season, I understand why the old rendezvous were in the spring. Selling furs and partying with like minded people till you fell down like a good mountain man. Time to think about it, spring clean up of equipment, then storage, then yard work, fishing, maybe write an article: watch the birds at the feeder. Convention time will be around the corner. PTSWS (post trapping season withdrawal syndrome): I wonder what my wife has planed for me, oh yeah the side walk, driveway needs sealing too, garage needs a good cleaning also, got to paint the trim on the house. Oh well.

My truck is a disaster. Traps, half frozen bottles of urine, empty soda bottles, candy wrappers and coffee cups. Bills on the dash. I have no room for a passenger. Beaver season runs through the end of April. I ain't done yet. Same... Come April 1st my project is going to be organizing my truck. The bed is full of all of the above.

Coyote and beaver season never ends here. Someone always needs some removed. But now its time to plant the garden. Then go fishing. then the neverending cycle of mowing grass. I cant wait for next fall already. I hate summer.

Other than fresh fruit and veggies I agree with you on your opinion of summer. I don't like to sweat that well.

X3 on summer.
My list includes fixing my house in order to sell (new floors throughout, interior paint, kitchen, bathrooms, stucco 1 window maybe new patio door, was going to build in a fire pit area but the location has a big tree root after 3" of soil, new swamp cooler) going to drs in state and in Ohio, truck maintenance. Trying to find cheap help and great deals with all of this because my health says nope and my wallet laughs at me.
I'm glad I have a bunch of the material already, stocking up little by little for awhile now
