Cod liver oil, in the gel caps, is about the richest source of vitamin D there is, next to sun and leafy deep green veggies.
Im not sure about pain, but I do know that enough Vit. D does a whole lot of good in many ways for the whole body, a cascade effect to systemic healing. Im betting that would help pain also as it works on the sources of the pain.
Not any fish oil, has to be cod liver oil...in gel caps, they are easy to take and theres no after taste at all.
Natural food supplements are the way to go, over synthesized vitamins bought over the counter , that dont absorb into the body.

I take fish oil gel caps along with various vitamins. Fish oil has lots of benefits because of the amount of omega 3 brain and heart health, helps joints, and muscle pain. My combo too help my overall pain is fish oil, vitamin d 2000 IU, magnesium tabs, potassium, calcium, L-Arginine, B12 and a multi vitamin.

Yes, I take 2 Alaskan Salmon Oil pills each day. Dosage on bottle says to take 2 per day with food. Doctor put me on it, for heart health and joint pain, lot's of other benefits as well.

Three salmon cell caps(1000mg). I bite em and spit out the gelatin shells then 4oz orange juice not from concentrate. First thing in the morning 1/4 hour before anything else. Difference whether I can make a fist or not. Sharron I'm going to try the cod liver oil next time I buy. Remember it from my mother helping her bursitis. The orange juice thing was from a medical journal she read to take the cod liver oil with.

Spring Buds off a Cotton wood tree just before they start to open up, ground up and mixed into warm coconut oil. Let sit overnight then strain. This is wonderful stuff for aches and pains. I use about a 2 to 1 ratio. 2 parts oil to 1 part buds. Can't be allergic to aspirin though. The buds will be about the size of a Tabasco pepper and slightly oily when ready to pick.
Old enough to know better, but dumb enough to still try.

Make a tea out of the birch polypore mushroom, grows on dying birch trees, it's a great muscle relaxant, and it's use is ancient . I could use some right now.
