I always believed , that the mother's disposition , was very important. If she was a nervous type, I would never keep a heifer or bull off her. A lot of cows will also be overly protective, and unsafe to be around for a while after calving. .Unless they were exceptional mothers , I would cull them. Good looking bull , you can see the thickness coming through from the simmental. I had a couple of simmental , red angus, cross, bulls, really liked them, the calves grow like weeds. Good luck old243
