Good seeing everyone. Fta really put on a.good.time. I really enjoyed the trap setting competition and Tom Miranda demo was really inspiring. Tight chains and God bless, everyone.

I also had a great time. Wish I'd had more hours to spend. My opinion there was a very good turnout. Bumped into a couple of local guys and talked to a few folks I hadn't talked to for a long time.

Paul, it was good seeing you again and thanks for taking the picture of Darlene and I. She's usually smiling, but walking into that building full of trapping lures caught her delicate little nose off guard! But she had a good time too.

I will say that the folks from the Virginia Trappers Association did a Number 1 job. Thanks to all of you.

Redsnow, it's too bad your wife got thrown off by the smell. I got all excited over this large bottle of asafoetida until the vendor told me how much it was going for. Did you get to try any of the food that was for sale?

Well, I'd better say that Darlene is my girlfriend before things get out of control. lol All of those essential oils are high dollar, I didn't even notice them anyplace. There was a pretty good crowd.

Nope, didn't try any of the food. Just ate breakfast before we left, and had to be back at work at 6 pm. Took my camera with me and didn't take a single picture.

We did stop and get the blacksmith to fire up his forge and demonstrate his skills. That man was good. I told him that he was making it look easy.

It was a great run convention! Thanks VTA!

I purchased a turquoise bracelet for the fiance at an outside tent just to the west of the main building where Paul and the others were at. She had trapper blanket coats of her own design along with a lot of turquoise. I grabbed her card but have lost it. Does anyone know her or know a way that I can get ahold of her?

Sorry for assuming things, redsnow.

No problem, that could very well happen one day. She's a very good cook.

Wanted to ask, how did you make out at the auction Friday night?

The auction was definitely interesting. Hopefully someone else will chime in that was there for the whole auction. I left about the time of the African Safari hunt. The auctioneer was pretty aggressive.
