I usually just drill a hole in the bottum of the skull close to the back and hang it on a hook. There is also a mount called a skull hooker that looks like it would look cool. It holds the mount in more of a natural pose.

Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes......
Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

Or do what I do and cut the antlers off like you would for a regular mounted dear head and buy a reproduction skull painted or white, mount your antlers to it and you are done. I still boil the antler base in Sal Soda before I put them on the reproduction skull.

I would definitely keep that heat at a simmer.. A hard boil will weaken the skull & drive grease deeper into the bone
