blackcaps are coming in, but I think my kids will eat them all before mom gets enough to make jam with. mulberries are doing well, IMO they don't make very good jam though!

our apple trees are full of apples this year. will be a great crop of fresh cider come fall

I have been picking some nice raspberries in the last few days. They are coming on fast now. Need to pick them daily as they ripen here over night from the day before.

Looks like a good blackberry crop is coming up shortly as well.

I was picking wild blue & black berries last weekend. Very tasty...and rather plentiful this year.

I've seem them in fields that were no longer being farmed. NJ is either city, woods, or farmed fields so there aren't many places they would grow. Wild strawberries here are only about 1/2" across, nothing like the big, juicy, commercial varieties.

Have a pretty good stash of huckleberries and blackberries in the freezer. More hucks to come still.

Only place I know of that has wild strawberries is on my Grandparents grave in the cemetery.
We have chokecherries ripening, wild grapes and wild plums have a ways to go yet.
No blackberries around here that I know of.
May be some raspberries down in the park along the crick.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Been picking a few black raspberries in our back yard. We usually get enough for a pie and enough to mash into the top of a bunch of vanilla bean ice cream.

Picked a bunch of wild blueberries with my nephew the other day, they grow wild on our place so we take the 4 wheeler out trail riding and eat them off the edge of the trail

Some of the areas I used to pick are in areas that have been heavily chemically treated for invasive buckthorn, so my berry picking opportunities aren't looking good. I don't trust garlon or tordon near wild berry patches, but I can't blame landowners that target that nasty invasive.
