Ohio, Old fart to some.
I run stock Duke 1 1/2's. Tuned to my preferences.
I won't wax them. Imo a tuned waxed trap is fine for the first animal. After a coon catch the wax is gone and now the pan tension changes.
I have yet to swap out the pans. Some day I may make some from scratch
I have a few ideas floating around in my head on a different designs then what is out there.

The #2 vic best mink trap going. Add a pinch pan and you have the perfect trap for rats and mink.
Or the 1 1/2 duke with a pinch pan and the springs weakened.
No need to be running complicated drowning systems. Just add some more chain and stake out away from the bank. Most critters like rats and mink die from stress or hypothermia anyway.

White Trash, that post from pcr2 is 26+ months old, I don't think he will be back for quite awhile, if at all .

Sorry WT88, I'm very slow on a keyboard.

Wasn’t some guys putting pans from a #3 Bridger on a #1 or 11/2 Bridger for a mink trap. I thought I seen some for sale awhile back in the trap shed.
