I wont shoot a calf elk even though in some instances its legal to do so I am thinking if I ever have another cow tag I would focus on a calf lol. Something that we ould more edible than a old cow. Yeah , gotta be better eatin and alot easier to manage

A Hodag. They are rarely seen here in WI, but are known to roam the north woods.

When I lived in Idaho I had a tag and a lion in my cross hairs. Perfect easy shot. Never took the safety off. It was awesome just to see it and know that I won the game. That being said from then on never felt the need to shoot one. Now having the chance to trap one is a whole different story.

Anything I have a use for I would not hesitate to shoot food, protection or other need and it is done

That being said from then on never felt the need to shoot one. Now having the chance to trap one is a whole different story. There are many times I have watched a deer or turkey and counted it as a kill. Yet never took the safety off. Sometimes the experience of getting close is good enough for me as well. As far as animal I never seemed interested in a bear. Neat to see but no desire to hunt.

You can't shoot what's already dead. Well you could but what would be the point.

I keep telling myself to go shoot a bear, every real Alaskan has shot a bear, but somehow I never get around to doing it.
I probably wouldn't shoot a housecat. One of my grand-daughters is a cat person, and would never forgive me.

I share your interest in crows. We don't have them here. We have ravens instead, which are really cool birds too.
