I have too many locations with concrete walls and riprap. Nothing to tangle to really.

I know a cinder block will work and I can let it there. Just was wondering what kind of luck folks had with higher end grapples.

If you don't have places to tangle I would use something heavy.

Unfortunately for me I think that’s the only option. Concrete, rock, and muck I don’t think work well with any grapple but I had hope someone would tell me different.

There are places that you can order OD green colored sand bags so they are not white. Put 15-25 lbs. of rocks in the bag and tie to chain. The other advantage of the bag is that it will change shape and anchor better than other hard items with the shallow water. Also realize that with very shallow water coons can get maximum pulling capability as there is not enough water to displace their weight and many times they can do this while on the shore and going down stream.

Good options.. .. especially the rebar stake between the trap and weight. If you have plenty of loose rock available. ..id use it with bags and save from buying and carrying concrete pillars.
