My wife spoiles our few road island red hens by baking THEM a pan of corn bread every week. She says I can have A piece too if I want.Corn bread fed chickens sure do lay some GOOD eggs at least. smile

We’ve come a long way from a hog behind every cow and a chicken behind every hog.

That's great! Our chickens get treated like royalty too, getting our leftovers, etc....although my wife gets mad at me when I feed them chicken!

I lost my last flock over the summer to racoons and searched everywhere for new birds...just when I was about to give up, a friend sent me the following link

http://mmeggs.com/

It turned out that the chicken farm was located in the same town I work (I live in Buffalo and work during the summers in Massena)...go figure! Anyway, if you ever need new birds (as I see you are from Upstate NY) , I highly recommend them!!
