I always did good selling my fur through NAFA. I never had a bounced check and If they rise from the ashes I will sell through them again. If they settled up with the bad check that bounce for me. I think I would do the same

Dirt - thanks for the link. Did you actually read through all 138 pages of legal mumbo jumbo. LOL No. I figured the only part that was important was the part I posted.

157. NAFA is adjusting its standard payment and credit terms for this Auction to: (a) require that all product is to be sold without reserve bid: and (b) ensure that payment is made, in full, within 14 days of the Auction.
Above is from page 55 of the report from the link that Dirt posted.
Am I reading it correctly-Fire sale? I guess it should be expected .
Providing wild fur to the industry at below the cost of production for over 50 years.
Mostly carbon neutral since 1948.

Ks rook, WHO is going to show up to buy a bunch of coons they don't want? Especially old stale collections when you can wait and buy fresh every year.
At some point in time those coon are going to be given away or burned due them having no value.
Boco, 40 years a lot of southern fur couldn't even be moved by Nazi nafa! While at the same time some of us found other markets and sold annually.
I can't buy a tank of gas with a sheet of paper with 9 million different grades for the same fur that all says unsold out beside them!
Not my circus, not my clowns.

"NAFA is the successor to the Hudson's Bay Company's Canadian and U.S. fur auction businesses, which were spun off in 1987 and 1989, respectively. In 2019, NAFA filed for creditor protection (CCAA). " Can we at least agree NAFA has only been around 30 years?

Am I reading it correctly-Fire sale? I guess it should be expected . I see the same thing on the fire sale , like they did some years ago on the one they did on coon. Some said it is just how they done business I say no , then they all complain about low coon price , well if it is another fire sale look for furs price down again

GFW will just like they did last year. Thinking those averaged 4 or 5 bucks. Who knows it may have already went down. LLL

Well Jtrapper I trapped 15 years In SC and NC and I sold those beaver right along with my WI beaver with no difference. And of coarse the otter were the hot item. I can remember selling SC coons for a $15.00 average. Of course fox and cats and coyotes were junk to begin with. You can't make a sows ear into a silk purse.

Boco Is most likely spot on. But I was told that WS trappers aren't allowed to sell the critters they tarp on company time. So maybe there Is more to this issue then meets the eye.

Since they claim that the courts have decided that unsold furs are not the property of NAFA, I was wondering if anyone had tried to contact them yet about returning their un sold items? I have not yet but would like to get my cats back that they bought back.
