I have heard of some removing saddles on mink. I do not. I squeeze as much fat out from under the saddle. And yes coonman I have had some mink pelts that too a long time to stiffen up!

There's good advice being given by fossil2, bctomcat, and Boco.

Be a shame not to take it.

It looks like just 1 mink out bunch is really spongey, all mink are a litttle, some more others. But I took a clothespin apart, the spring of it an used it to scrape mink that was spongey on stretcher, unbelievable amount oil far, I did it within a few hrs like 5 times, no idea if well dry, on that particular pelt, after a day, if no difference, should I sprinkle a little borax in it to save it ?

my best guess is theres no way they'll average 5 bucks. depending on when they were caught, closer to 3.

Either coonman does not read some of yalls posts or he is the mildest natured guy on earth. I would not stay on here and take such abuse. Of course it’s a lot easier and safer to abuse someone over the internet.
