In my opinion you have to much leg on the belly side. And your window looks to be way to long.
I like to pin about 1" to about a 1/2" of leg on the belly side. Then pull all the flank fur around to the back side and pin It. I feel this way displays the flank fur a bit better and gives It more depth.
With the correct opening cut you shouldn't have to do any trimming to create a window.

Your put up looks great I just do mine a little different.

Interesting....so he started as a carcass XL, then went to a skinned 3xl-ish, then to a boarded 5xl. Dumb question: Why can't you do the same with wire??? wire gets too narrow or something else???

There Is no way you can make a XL coon Into a 5XL coon.
A XL coon measures between 27" and 29" a 5 XL coon when finished measures 38" or better. So I don't see how you can gain 9" no matter how you skin or board.
There must have been a mistake In the original measurement.

You can do it with two small coons and spool of thread.

I'm just going by the posted photos next to a measuring stick. Maybe they are not the same coon.

Did other fur prices drop due to corona? If others did drop, have they also bounced back up like coon have?

One thing you can count on with Pa BLACK HOLE region coon- we aint getting much for ours. Id be a nervous wreck if I had a bunch of golden triangle region coon......

Heck in 1934 a average coon was 115.50 in todays money. We could go on and on.

More mis information. They did NOT go back to pre corona prices. Coon were at $20-$16-$10-$5 and $2 prior to the virus out break. They are still $2 across the board lower than they were.

Larry, I also don't have to catch as many coon as you for the same income. I spend half as much as you do to catch a coon. I've taken over 90 coon in a 24 hr check and didn't put 30 miles on my truck. I ran the ROW for decades, and I make more money, for less work, by river trapping. Kind of hilarious you give advice on something you've never done! Do you tell your doctor how to perform surgery too? You only know your little corner of the planet. I've trapped coon in 3 states, and each state required a completely different approach to have success. Go to MS with your style, and you'll be quite disapointed.
