Case/New Holland is laying off 35 permanently with more likely in the coming months.

This is in Fargo N.D.

Most of the biggest increases in production growth for Deere has been in the industrial complexes in Brazil. They build for much of the foreign market for ag equipment. There are many other big firms in these places in Brazil as well.

3togo, you could be right, I'm not sure. I do remember a whole slough of laid off Dubuque workers came to work at the Harvester plant around 2008 and many are still there unless laid off. Man they were building a lot of combines back then! Was a good place to work with benefits and pay, I just didn't want to work inside a factory anymore so I left.
