We were in Wally world this afternoon. People were almost frantic, almost on the run. No milk, bread. Soup, pasta or chips. No kind of cleaning products. There was some TP however. It's just crazy right now.

People needs to calm down and use their heads for a change. A quick look at the WHO website will show anyone interested that the mortality rate of this chinese virus is much lower than others we have had in recent years. Some of the best doctors we have are saying that the vast majority of those who actually have Covid wont even know they have it. Meanwhile the stock market tanked, schools are closing, businesses are going broke, and whole industries are in ruins. Some of those industries will likely never recover either. Just imagine trying to sell a trip on a cruise ship right now. Took my wife 4 hours on hold to book airline tickets to MO for this falls deer season! The lady told her thousands and thousands of people are canceling flights, she was shocked that my wife wanted to actually book tickets. Its total madness....

Wasn't even going to comment on Bocos idea that the UN should be in charge......the UN should be kicked off US soil yesterday, by force if needed....

I'm with Boco on this. Having a worldwide strategy to attack a pandemic makes much more sense then piecemeal country-by-country efforts. Like it or not, we exist in a time when all countries are interconnected and as long as the virus can hitch a ride as easily as it is doing we are at the mercy of whichever country is the weakest link in how they handle this thing.

Yukon, I never mentioned the UN in my post. I would be satisfied with a grand spirit of cooperation between nations to tackle this pandemic. Calling out the pandemic as a "foreign virus" does not foster that kind of spirit.
