Despite stay home orders, literally half our population works in an "essential" service. They will contact and bring to others the virus. Perhaps we will get a vaccine, but not in any time length to stop the majority of us from contacting the virus.

I see that a lot of the tman crowd has bought into the "its everywhere" mantra. Sure, the the virus could be everywhere, just like I could win the powerball any time I buy a ticket but I probably won't at any given time or in my lifetime. Look at the data. As of this afternoon, about 50% of the total positive tests were in NY state, with NYC accounting for about 33% of the national total. In my home state, we have 21 positive tests as of earlier today, and half of those are some refugees who shouldn't have been able to go on a trip back to SE Asia within the past 2 months. Its not everywhere so yes, use good judgement but should we kill half the economy for this for another 2-3 months, don't think so.

South Dakota is like bum blank nowhere. Of course you have fewer cases. We had 100 new cases in Wisconsin today. Probably another 100+ tomorrow.

You're absolutely right, it isnt everywhere. You get a cookie. Except that it does negatively impact the economy even though your chunk of land that ranks 48 out of 50 in state GDP isn't as impactful as the economy of states like New York, Texas and California where it's running rampant. So to say not to worry because it isnt everywhere is like saying don't worry about your dying grandpa, he only has cancer in his brain, lungs and pancreas, but his pinky toe is doing fine, only a little fungus.
