We had a special breakfast today. Ate like we were special folks.

Fresh made bread slices dipped in a batch of fresh eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Cooked just right to your taste.

Smothered in creamy salted butter, sprinkled heavy with Powdered Sugar and topped with home cooked maple syrup.

If you need flour...

A lot of the restaurants around here have been using their distributors to get kitchen Staples and are selling them. Prices are within fair market value. You can order and pay online and they will load them in your vehicle in the parki g lot... No close contact.

My wife ordered some stuff and sent the boy to pick it all up. She ordered flour but all they had available was 25 lb bags... She bakes a lot so we took it. But I just spent a bit dividing it all up into 4 and 5 pound quantities.

Looks like we are filming a scene from Scarface in the kitchen.

Your bread looks excellent. It is the right color and the right shape. The pattern on the crust from inside the pan also looks right. I can't wait for a pic of a cut slice.

I don't make much bread but make a ton of waffles. I use whole wheat toast and oatmeal half and half and use my maple syrup with eggs milk and cinnamon, vanilla and the other needed ingredients and then make french toast out of those waffle squares.

I am dusting off our bread maker. I want to try some oatmeal bread too and some of the above recipes look good.

My first Amish Sweet bread loaves. This stuff can be addicting. Time to cool off and get the homemade Peach preserves.

Glazed with some sweet butter on top really dresses up a fresh loaf.

This is todays attempt. Using the king arthur flour we found in town and it makes SO MUCH BETTER bread than what i was using. The crust was still nice and soft and it was just right. Tastes really good for a simple bread recipe.
