Well Well , they announced this morning that The "experts" prediction of 250,000 dead in US may be a little off (we can pray) . Now they are saying this morning more like 30,000 - 100,000 .
Guess when after 4 weeks of the corona and just 6,000 dead they finally did some simple math on the daily dead count it would take to reach 250,000 !!!!

Have a source? Everything I'm seeing is best case scenario 100k-250k dead. Worse case without the current social distancing measures implemented is 1-3 million dead.

Not much on the numbers of the people that have recovered from it they never shout those numbers as loud as how many have died.

But when the experiment is over we will be able to calculate what an unhealthy human's life is worth. Maybe next time we will find a more cost effective way to buy them another few years?

The gubmint is spending $2 trillion or $2 million million. If all this saves 1 milliion people for another year. That would be $2 million per life. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Heard this from our local medical personnel...
They are counting any death as a Covid-19 death if they test the body positive for it. If I get in an accident this evening and they test me for the virus and it’s positive then it’s a death in the virus column. Same with heart attack and suicide. And this is from someone who deals with it every day.

Leftlane, east of Pawnee Co. close to the Pawnee creek. I’ve had some great hunts in the hill country of Texas. Spent my first 5 years just out of the hills in Robert Lee, Tx

if this virus is as contagious and deadly as said staying 6 feet away is not the answer especially when fear of shortages drives people out to mass up in stores and essential businesses

I have no problems with docs calling it as they see it. A person might be 6 months from death’s door but they die in a week from covid-19. Until an autopsy confirms it to be heart related, it is what it is. NOBODY has time to do autopsies in today’s stack ‘em up environment. This is probably why health reports on covid-19 are saying the patient died from covid-19 but had underlying medical problems.

OK I watch 3 news channels at once LOL. 2 of the 3 had 3-4 different Dr NOT THE HEALTH TROLL! A couple of different university's have done their "model" which is a guess . ALL the new ones are based on current results of the actual events. NOT BASED ON A STUDY FROM 1918 Spanish flu !!!! The 250,000 dead is based on results from the 1918 flu and ebola..

6,600 dead in 32 days it better get with it to reach 250,000 !!!

Our idiot Gov just said Ky will have 47,000 dead by summer. We had 6 more today to make our total 37 so far !!! Oh yea we had 11 die yesterday 4 were terminal cancer patients. But instead of him pointing out that the death rate went down he added them together and said "we lost 17 Kentuckians over the last TWO days." Couldn't bring himself to say it was BETTER today than yesterday. ridiculous...................

NO I agree but if they are in end stage lung or any cancer and would have been dead in 1-2 weeks how do you justify calling it covid related !!!

I'm willing to bet it goes over 250k before the end of this year. You guys don't seem to understand exponential growth. Let's meet back here in a month.

Do you think just maybe people freaking out about it a little has kept the numbers down? IT's clear to most that we don't want what happened to Italy. Turned away anyone over 80 as not enough beds. This is one reason why people are saying only the people over 80 are dying. It was a bed shortage. And what docs here are drastically trying to avoid as per capita Italy has more beds than the U.S.

They (Doctors who are keeping track) are still anticipating 1.5 million infected by Easter. And they are still at a 20% hospitalization rate of that. Meaning not nearly enough beds in the U.S. for 20% at 1.5 million.

Most of the country is still 8 weeks out from Peak (suspected, of course).

Like CGilliam states....Meet back here in a month and see where we are at. I sure hope the doctors are wrong.

The govt isn't spear heading this thing. It's the medical profession. If some of you want to be mad at someone at least be mad at the right entity. But go ahead and rip on them for trying to save your butts.

Yes, we need to take this seriously, and coming from the medical profession does give it some credibility. However, we've also been told by "credible scientists" that global warming was going to kill us all 10 years ago. Like you Calvin, I hope the doctors are wrong.
