My wife and I have to ration it ourselves. I know I could put a hurt on that loaf in one sitting.

Looks great! The way I have been eating lately that would make one good sandwich...kind of like a hard roll! grin

Been slicing and freezing my Amish sweet bread. Once toasted....it is wicked good for sammiches...or burgers. [Linked Image]

Good thing this has gone to 9 pages. Ive been making bread since I was 20 but have made a bunch in confinement at the farm. Mine is half whole wheat with one egg, half a beer, olive oil and flax and sunflower seeds.

I don't know how to put up photos on my phone but it looks good and makes great toast.

Long live bread.

Pete

Just about to make another batch of sweet bread. Need to finish up some sales tax work then I am back to being Betty Crocker. Maybe get to soap making later today.

Oh that would be special wouldn't it. I have a shop apron but it doesn't smell very good.

My wife frowns on me wearing my shop apron in the kitchen. I wouldn't even think of wearing my skinning apron in the kitchen. I've just gotten used to flour on my shirts.

We have an enameled dutch oven. Its great. I think ours is the pioneer woman version. Either way enameled cast is pretty neat stuff

I m trying to find one not made in china. Staub is made in France, but 275 is awful spendy to make bread.

Nessmuck....

Not anybody's recipe but I like grains in my bread. We are seriously spoiled here in France when it comes to bread but I only go to town every 4 days or so now. My favorite thing with coffee in the morning is a couple slices of that toast with a tad of butter and a thin coat of real peanut butter.

Peanut butter should only contain peanuts.

Pete

My first sourdough loaf from my starter. I have the other loaf proofing in the fridge overnight and will cook it tomorrow. The recipe made 2. As soon as this one cools we gonna try it out and compare it tomorrow with a 3 hour rise or overnight rise in the fridge.

It is good. Alot lighter than my instant yeast breads. i forgot to cut the top of it before baking. I blame the rum.
