Me a couple buddies and some guys in a GTO had a fun filled beer and testosterone fueled boxing match on Federal Avenue in Denver one night. We were cruising and asked the guys in a GTO if that meant Go Through Obstacles. Wonder why kids today don't cruise like that?

Nice car Nessmuck

That is quite a beautiful classic muscle car.
Today my muscle car is a new Ford Super Duty diesel. It has some serious speed (and power) for only 8,000 pounds.

Dad had a 67 GTO, Tyrol blue, white vinyl top and white interior. I remember dad, mom and us 3 kids in it going to church on sundays.
And one 5 day trip form WI to CO and back for thanksgiving.
The rear quarters were sheet tin pop riveted on when he sold it in 83. MI and WI salt is hard on cars.

I'll have to ask my mom. I don't. I think I remember a picture of it

It had the 400 with a hurst, I remember that. And a new muffler every winter.

Thanks for the memories!
50 years ago on high school graduation night I taught a friend how to speed shift his. It was a beautiful maroon one like yours w/4 on floor
He was a city kid with no experience and I was raised on the farm. Driving at age 4 while dad cut bales and strung hay for the cattle from the pickup.
Got my 1st ticket in a grain truck on a state highway when I was 11. State trooper said he didn't see anyone driving when he met me from the other direction.
We were well lubricated and I told him to steer, while I ran the gas pedal and 4 speed.
Slammed 2nd gear and he put it in the ditch on a county blacktop
Seems like last night, where did the years go?
Thanks Again
Doug
