Across the board, no. Like Bruce, I believe some items will rise in price.

The money changers know exactly to the penny how much they can gouge each person. When W Bush dumped the Clinton tax surplus after 9 11, that was not even a trillion dollars, and the Soros bag men, spiked housing to grain prices to suck that money out of the economy, which is one reason the Obama crash of 2008 took place, as it helped install him which has set off 6 trillion dollars more in money dumps.

The "economy" is in the balance now. They needed to fund the 28 million people who had worthless jobs and are on unemployment to generate consumption in buying. It fuels from the bottom up, as in gas you buy, goes to oil frackers, who employ hosts of people, which keeps what is left of the economy moving. In that, no matter what China is saying, they have the virus. They are subsidizing their businesses and people. They are not selling to the world, as the world is not buying. The world is moving to other venues in Asia and America is end producing some products here. America has a huge problem with shoddy Chinese goods are now in everything, and this is all going to have to be replaced as they degrade rapidly. That is future surge for the US markets, but the projections are this Coronavirus is not going to stop. It's rate is dropping, but people are still infecting and dying. That means 28 million people are not going to be wanting to go back to work, numbers of them have guns, and those in charge know they do not want 28 million problems starting a revolution. This is why another hand out will appear, and keep the status quo moving.

Those that gouge us, know all of this, and know the revenue supply is not capable of spiking inflation or their stealing a greater portion of profits. The economy is shifting and will continue to shift to ways people can make a living and not get sick. There is a real push to bring jobs back to America now and out of Asia. that takes time though. In the short term, the hording has cached a supply like mink storing muskrats in a den. This will pressure prices downward in sales. Remember before this started, stores were running Christmas sales in September. Things were not good in the US economy with all these cheap working foreigners dumped into the system.

This is best summed up by this example. In the 1960's there was the first Walmart in Gibsons. That was taken over by Pamida, which became Alco, which became Shopko, which just went bankrupt, and now with the Amazon and Walmart brands of China, we were told all was finished, but Dollar Stores and Dollar General are expanding. So the economy is moving just as when JC Penney centralized distribution and beat out the local traders.
Do not forget that during Obama and the current administration, we have been having around 10% inflation each year. You did not notice it, because they kept shifting the gouging from gas, to sugar, to bread to electric.
If you want your economy back, start making an issue of Obama's wind energy, which is foreign owned and you pay for it. Obama mandated that 40% of your power is generated by this costly fraud and is why your rates tripled. That sent costs up across the board. That money should be put into clean coal, which would drop propane and natural gas prices, and produce a cheap energy policy this country needs. Otherwise those who gouge still have the system. They simply will not raise prices so you notice over the next months, or this house of cards will crash further.
While this virus is dangerous, people have to understand that Coronavirus has been good to Americans. It is fulfilling MAGA promises and it has dropped gas prices almost a dollar from what the gougers had planned for this summer. The best advice is to not make any over extended purchases this year that could wait until next year.

I thought that food and fuel was not figured into inflation rates. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought Nixon took them out.

Nothing wrong with exporting just quit importing.
..most of the beef is already owned by China going through the packing plants they own here in USA..... ownership should be limited to us citizens

South America owns a lot of the beef control in this Country so it has little to do with Trump, ranchers are getting paid less today and the packers are getting paid more today. There is a investigation going on now to see why the gap between ranchers and packers is so wide.

That seems pretty obvious to me.

Ranchers are suffering because their supply of livestock is greater than the packers can handle....so no market. But the packers are enjoying greater demand than they can supply due to labor shortages...so they can increase their prices. Do they really need an investigation to figure that out ?

Ranchers receive 50 cents per on hamburger cattle over caring for thAt animal at least a year and Packers have it about a week and store prices are 4 dollars a pound
..need to lift restrictions on small business and let them sell to consumer and avoid foreign owned packing plants

NY says it now is causing children problems. Probably lead to more lock-down extensions and more rising prices.
I don't buy it but burger is averaging around $5 a pound here today. Fresh pork almost unavailable however bacon was $1.89 a pound.
