Last i heard they were only expecting a few hundred attendees. But your points are still valid.
if they are only having a few hundred people what do they need security for?
Defund the police. Unless we need them, then make an exception for our convention. No wonder the police are telling them to Take a hike.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Turn the table. Use the enemy's weak point as a resource.
Trump should reach out and extend a hand to these fine representatives of law enforcement. Build a bridge. A bridge that leads right to the RNC convention. Bet he could garner some free LEO support and security for the RNC event. He could get some nice photo ops and maybe invite a few LEO's on stage.
Support the blue , and they will support you.

Why is it OK to even have a convention with thousands of people?
State fair is canceled , summer fest postponed , kids aren't going back to school in person in Milwaukee public schools , UW Milwaukee has very few in person classes and is keeping them small no lectures is currently holding any of them they can outside.
but hey lets ignore everything we have said about covid for 5 months and have a DNC convention .
