Was he raised in a 2 parent (mother and father) home? Did he have brothers? Was his mom or dad over-protective? I think a lot of things that happens to a kid between the ages of 2-7 can influence this. They weren't necessarily born that way.

To me the whole "they can't help it, they were born that way" theory opens up a whole can of worms. Does being attracted to the same sex make you gay, or does having relations with the same sex make you gay? If a person is sexually attracted to a dog but never acts on it, is he still a zoophiliac? If a person is attracted to a child, but hates the fact that they are and never in their life act on it, are they a pedophile? If someone is "born" attracted to a certain type.... and they can't help it.... that makes it okay right? Even if the type they are attracted to is children? Where does it end?

I used to argue they weren't born that way and it was a choice. Well now I believe it may be a choice but they are born that way for sure. People are born with mental illness and that is the only explanation that my primitive brain can comprehend that explains that behavior.

Their is a guy that lives up the road from me, gay as heck raised buy a 2 parent home in one of the bigger ranches thats around. His family has been big land owners in this county for over 60 years.

Its clear you appear lean left. Making assumptions when you know nothing about someone. Yes I have friends and family that are gay. Just the same an some that also lie cheat or steal. Just because they participate in immoral behavior dosen't mean I have to accept and condone it pretending its natural and a ok. I can love them for who they are in spite of what they do. I will not lie to them and say it's ok. I hope some day they will turn from their sinful behavior. I try not to judge it's not my place. Sometimes I fail. I try to remember to God sin is sin there is no difference and we are all sinners. Theirs may be different than mine but no worse. And I have plenty to go around.
