1976 is when they added the #3 coil. I would say they have more value as a user trap yet then a collector.

Are you absolutely sure they dint make a number 3 coil before 1976?
The number two fox trap been around since 1930s? First the 22 then the square jaw fox trap which became a 2.

Diamond , Gibbs and triumph sure had number 3 coils in there product lines back in the 1930s

I’m 98% sure Victor did not have a #3 coil before the mid 1970s. I will dig out some of my old supply catalogs to verify.

Everything else I agree with 100%.

According to The Steel Trap of North America book that is what it stated. I was surprised that it was that recent.
