I couldn't find any 150ish grain .308 (7.62x54) in stock, only 208 grain. How will this effect point of impact at 75 yards? High/Low?

Our local Scheels appears to have 150 gr. Nosler Accubond bullets in stock. Lemme know if you want me to pick some up and send to you.

Pike, for your Mosin, you need to get some PPU soft points. Not very available right now maybe. The 208 grain from Bear shoots well in most guns.

heavier may actually shoot higher at 50 , put some on paper and see how they are heavy bullets recoil and have longer dwell time the muzzle may be higher when they exit , probably still minute of deer at 50yards

Thanks CL. That's actually what I was looking for but as you said its easier to find a snake that can clap right now.

308 cal for a Mosin

If the twist of the barrel will stabilize that heavy a bullet, it should do fine.

x2 A 208 gr. slug wouldn't get a second look if I was shooting a 308. That's excessively heavy for an 30-06. However the 06 has enough case capacity to accommodate it without losing powder volume.

One of the property owners I trap for called about a month ago and said didn’t I see an AR10 in your truck when you were trapping? I said yes and he said I thought so, I left you some bullets in the shop next time you’re out this way, your gate code is still the same and told me where the shop key was. To my surprise and thanks, he left 2 boxes of the 150gr Zombie rounds for hogs, 1 box of Noslers 150gr, and 3 boxes of Federal Premium Gold Medal 168gr. Think I’m set for a while. Already shot hogs with the Zombie rounds and they work just fine on deer as well. Going to shoot the 168gr to see what they do for grouping.

In my Mosin-Nagant 91/30 I prefer the 203gr bear ammo. Killed a few deer with it too.
