Seen a lot of threads on ' What's for dinner ' , which is nice. Plus usually very tasty looking but , this thread is what do you USE to make dinner ?
I'm looking for cooking utensils , like cookware , smokers , BBQ grills , killer cooktops/ovens , cutlery, kitchen gizmos , etc.
What do you use to perfect your craft ?

I will start , I'm very proud to own a nice set of All-Clad cookware.

Pricey stuff , I have about $1500 into my collection , but it is the professionals choice and I look at it as investment, last set of cookware I will ever have to buy. It has upped my game as the results are much better than the set of Revereware I used to use. Fantastic results.

I hate Martha Stewart. She doesn't live at my house , her brand of cookware sucks. She just slaps her name on junk to make a buck. All-Clad is way better. My food tastes much better because of it.

Again , I hate Martha Stewart.....lol

No offence , Boco

I use whatever will apply heat in the most appropriate manner.
The main thing with cooking, is to not cook everything on high. That is the primary error that I see most bad cooks do. I have a friend that cooks everything on high, it's a rare day his kitchen isn't filled with smoke.

The only thing I ever cook on high, is when I pan-fry steaks. Just sear them on the outside turn the heat down to almost nothing for a few minutes, takeoff the pan let rest for a few minutes and serve, rare to medium-rare.

It doesn't really matter what brand of cookware you use, as long as you use it correctly. Some is just easier to not screw up as bad with while using.

Seen a lot of that. You are correct.
I'm a big fan of Cook's Illustrated magazine , also they have a video account on YouTube as America's Test Kitchen. Great cooking advice. Real pro's with real good cooking advice. Check them out , up your game, become a better cook.
If I ever hit the lottery , I would love to go to school at the CIA ( Culinary Institute of America ) about 45 mins away from me in Hyde Park , NY. One of the best cooking schools in the world.

The knowledge of how to cook good food is more important than what you use to cook it in.
Very few have that knowledge.

It depends what im cooking.
Tonight was instant pot.
Im picky with my stuff. I was chef in my younger years so quality stuff outweighs looks. I got tired of expensive "professional cookware" that doesn't hold up so I started buying commerical kitchen products.
I have cast iron (coated and non coated), commercial kitchen pots pans cookie sheets and utensils, wood utensils, nonstick pans, pyrex baking dishes, commercial kitchen bakeware, salad bowl, salad spinner, kitchen aid mixer, souffle cups, smoker, grill, griddle, ninja blender etc...

Seriously I would be interested to see the trapperman cookware.
I bet Savell and Jurassic Park have nice cookware collections.

That’s a nice set! How long have you had it? It looks brand new!
Now it’s time to replace that stove!

I'm sure that is my friend's mode of operation; doesn't really matter what he's cooking.

First thing ...get rid of that electric stove....and cook with gas...then we’ll talk.
